Even for a history book, this is dry, and reads like an undergraduate report on the civilization. The complete lack of illustrations, maps and photos makes it even harder to follow, there are a number of confusing passages in the chronology of the kings, and very little supporting or explicatory content.
If you love to read about history, Patrick Auerbach's book about the fascinating ancient culture of Hitties is a must read. A friend pointed me to this book and I am so glad I downloaded it. The book is very well researched and gives magnificent insights about the story of the Hitties. Well written and a must read if you are interested in ancient history.

This being so crucial an area in current events. I also became aware of the relationships of empires during this ancient time apart from war. It is remarkable to me that the Bit tired put so much effort in to preserving knowledge of so many aspects of their lives.
